Shakmat Scale Editor

The Shakmat Scale Editor helps you generate a text file that will add your custom scales to the Bishop's Miscellany MK2.

Create custom scales

To create a custom scale, click on the keys of the keyboard, then click 'Add to Scales list' to add it to the list. A dialog window will appear allowing you to name your custom scale.

Edit scales

To edit a scale from the Scales list, click on its edit button. The keyboard will display the scale for editing.

Import scales

If you already use custom scales and want to edit them, click on the Import button. This will let you import your current USER_SCALES.TXT file and edit it.

Re-arrange scales list

To re-arrange the order of your scales in the Scales list, click and hold the handle to the left of each custom scale and drag it to a different position in the list.

Add custom scales to the Bishop's Miscellany

Once your custom scales are listed, click on the Export button to generate the USER_SCALES.TXT file. You now need to upload this file to the Bishop's Miscellany MK2. To do so, simply copy the .TXT file to the BMmk2 folder on the SD card.
